These American-made, 1/2" nylon ribbons are manufactured to the highest quality standards, providing a clear, bold impression for typing. Available colors include bi-chrome Black/Red as well as solid Black, Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, and Pink. Ribbons are spooled onto universal spools, allowing for use on 90% of typewriters. Metal spools or machine-specific spools may be available upon request (Olivetti, Royal Standard, L.C. Smith, etc.).

1956 Remington Quiet-Riter

I've said it many times, and I'll say it again: nothing says "1950s American Typewriter" like brown paint and green keys! This wonderful Remington typewriter features some classic curves and mid-century design elements that bring the look and feel of the 1950s to 2026. This example is a great typer, perfect for a first-time or beginning typist. It has a few minor cosmetic imperfections regarding the paint, but you might call that "character!" This machine is fully cleaned and serviced and ready for a new life of writing and creativity. Elite typeface. Original, proprietary ribbon spools and green, velvet-lined case included.

1949 Royal KMG Educational Keyboard

Here is somewhat of a rarity, although these used to be quite common. Typewriters with blank educational keyboards were made for use in high schools to teach typing classes. Maybe you even learned to type on one! Most were destroyed, however, after being replaced by newer tech. This one survives because of a mother and father who purchased the machine from the school for their daughter. It happens to be the cleanest and most prestine Royal KMG I've yet come across. For sale, I'm pairing it with my era-appropriate edition of College Typewriting and its original dust cover. Hopefully this machine can make its way back to a school setting, teaching future typists! While portables sure are convenient and super collectible, sometimes what's really needed is one of these classic office giants, made for constant daily use and built to last! I typically have a few working standard typewriters kicking around in the workshop. So please reach out if you'd like one! These may have cosmetic flaws preventing me from selling them in their own listings, but this means that I'm willing to let them go to a new home for cheap (prices vary)! While these typewriters certainly get a lot of hype as the favorite machine of poets, authors, and hobbyists alike (including Tom Hanks!), there is one thing that I have to say about it: they certainly live up to the hype! While I always tout the quality of Olympias, these Hermes machines are just the same. They feel to me just a bit smoother (where Olympias really snap) and more solid. If you can find one, grab it! These machines will serve you for life. This one is truly in as good of condition as I have ever seen---genuinely jaw-dropping. This particular, first generation model types in a very desirably, sans-serif Techno Pica typeface. Cleaned and serviced. Original case (lid), user's manual, and cleaning brush included.

This wonderful Smith Corona screams "1970s" with its yellow and gold body and white accents and keyboard. Nonetheless, it has the very same quality construction and reliability of the great Smith Corona portable typewriters of the fifties and sixties. No other typeface merits such prestige and premium as this HIGHLY sought-after, art-deco inspired Royal typeface. Found here on a stunning example of a gull-wing Royal Portable in beautifully polished black-gloss. In terms of stunning, stylish, and rare, there is perhaps no equal to Vogue and the incredible demand it deserves. Original case included.

SOLD 1960 Smith Corona Sterling

This typewriter is a wonderful example of Smith Corona's ever-popular Sterling model first introduced in 1934. This example is from Smith Corona's peak of quality production and intuitive, reliable design. It features a fairly uncommon "Desert Sand" paint scheme. Frequently I recommend these "5-series" Smith Corona portable typewriters to beginning typists, and this machine is no exception! The joy of this machine's bright design extends to the classic checker pattern case which was standard issue for Sterling machines of this era. Fully cleaned and serviced. Pica typeface.

SOLD 1920 Corona 3  

Here is without a doubt the most stunning example of a Corona 3 folding typewriter I have ever seen. This Corona 3 in specific features rare, post-WWI era L-Shaped folding arms, a desirable variant among collectors. Not only that, it types in elite, which is less commonly seen on these Corona 3 typewriters. The photos speak for themselves, depicting a one-of-a-kind gem, beautifully preserved, cleaned, and restored (including new rubber feet). If you’re a collector looking for an unmatched example of this hard-to-find Corona 3 variation, you’ll not find another in as stunning cosmetic and mechanical condition as this one. Just look at those decals! The mirror-like original nickel plating and paint! It doesn’t get better than this! The case is a little worse for wear, proudly displaying an era-appropriate repair, but is sturdy and reliable. The inside of the case, too, is remarkably clean!

SOLD 1959 Olympia SM3 Professional Elite

Here is your chance to own this ever-sought-after typeface on a hearty, well-equipped machine! Professional Elite requires little introduction, it’s 11cpi Sans-Serif Italics have just the right flourish for both professional and personal writing. Indeed, this beautiful and charming typeface is the envy of many typewriter enthusiasts seeking to assemble a collection of unique and rare typefaces! This specific machine has been very well taken care of over the years and includes its original wide case, wide Olympia typewriter dust cover, and original cleaning kit. SOLD 1936 Royal O Armenian Keyboard

Here’s a very rare machine, which just got a much-needed restoration! An American-made Royal Model O typewriter with an Armenian keyboard! These were custom made in extremely small quantities. This particular machine was used by the secretary of the editor of an Armenian-American magazine! I’ll be sad to let this one go, but on a cheerful note, I'm thrilled to say that it has made its way to a home fully appreciative of this machine's unique significance and Armenian culture.

Nothing says "1950s American Typewriter" like brown paint and green keys! While it is often said that these Smith Corona 5-series portable typewriters are the best machines for beginning typists and while I love the touch and design of these wonderful machines, I was never so taken by the so-called "sapphire brown" paint scheme made of these came in until I serviced this one! It doesn't get much more classic than this! These are beautifully manufactured, incredible, and highly reliable portable typewriters. Without a doubt, they are the reason why Smith-Corona is a household name. This machine is clean after a full service and cleaning. Pica typeface. Original case included.

SOLD 1946 Royal Quiet De Luxe

This typewriter is a simple, no-jokes, reliable machine. The highest quality portable typewriter offered by Royal from 1939 until about 1960. Many would argue that there is no more iconic typewriter than this black, crinkle-finish, chrome accented typewriter with its curved, understated design. Here is a rare gem! Arguably the greatest portable typewriter ever made (my favorite, at least!), in arguably the greatest typeface! This Forest Green Olympia SM4 was for a long time part of my personal collection. In an age where computer word processors bring the beauty of italics to just a click away, we forget how stunning and bold an italicized text truly is. Typewriters with italic typefaces are shockingly scarce, and highly desirable. Indeed, many technicians and collectors hold italics as their favorite typeface. So, to have a stunning Olympia SM4 paired with this gorgeous and distinct typeface is a rare treat. The only flaw with this machine is that its case is a little worse for wear. Nevertheless, the machine is an unparalleled beauty, which I will hopefully not miss too much! Fully cleaned and serviced.
