I'm currently a full-time student at the University of Kansas, studying mathematics, secondary STEM education, and religious studies. I'm a member of the marching band and other music ensembles. So, between classes, music, and student teaching, I'm unfortunately quite busy!
I was first introduced to typewriters at the age of 5, when my mother brought home two pre-war Royal portables to use their glass keys for jewelry making. "Keychopping," as it's known in the typewriter world, is a horrible offense. Thankfully, my brother, sister, and I were simply too enamored by these two mysterious machines to let them be scrapped. Whereas my siblings soon lost interest, I was hooked and began collecting typewriters found at estate sales, thrift stores, and antique stores. By the age of ten, I had roughly half-a-dozen typewriters. In high school, however, things really got out of hand. Now in college, I have a collection of roughly 75 machines. Once I started college, I began publicly offering typewriter repair services in the greater Kansas City area as well as in Lawrence where I attend classes. Giving back to the community with a unique and niche set of skills is my favorite part about the work I do.
Other interests of mine include book collecting, creative writing, film photography, music, and spending time with friends and family.

I do my best to respond to emails within 24 hours of receiving them. Expect reasonable delays while classes are in session.
